Accessibility Options

This page can make your web portal easier and more comfortable to use with accessibility features and utilities.
The following options are available on Microsoft Internet Explorer

Ignore Colours, Font Styles, or Font Sizes Specified on Web Pages
This tutorial shows you how to turn off default font settings so that Internet Explorer can display your own preferences for font colours, style and sizes for display of Web pages

For Internet Explorer 5.x and 6.x users
1. On the Internet Explorer menu bar: Select Tools
2. Select Internet Options.
3. In the Internet Options dialog box, on the General tab:
4. Select the Accessibility button.
5. In the Accessibility dialog box, under Formatting:
6. Select the Ignore colours specified on Web pages check box.
7. Select the Ignore font styles specified on Web pages check box.
8. Select the Ignore font sizes specified on Web pages check box.
9. Select OK.
10. To close the Internet Options dialog box:
11. Select OK.

Increase or Decrease the Font Size of Web Pages Displayed on Screen
Using the View menu in Internet Explorer, you can quickly change the size of fonts on your screen to make the page easier to read.
When you make these changes in Internet Explorer, they also will be reflected on all Microsoft Help pages.
In this tutorial you can select from five different font sizes.

For Internet Explorer 5.x and 6.x users
1. On the Internet Explorer menu bar:
2. Select View.
3. Point to Text Size.
4. In the Text Size list
5. Select the text size that best meets your needs.

To specify fonts and colours to always use for Web pages
1. On the Tools menu in Internet Explorer, click Internet Options.
2. On the General tab, click Accessibility.
3. Change the settings as needed.
